danish cord is a three-ply kraft paper cord widely used in the production of danish modern furniture. it’s waxy texture gives a smooth, sleek, organic look and feel that we love. it works similarly to rush fiber... we weave the cord on an open frame around a series of L-shaped nails on the underneath of the
seat, creating in this instance, a simple double strand criss-cross pattern. these particular stools were made from a piece of old bay laurel we found in petaluma. they were designed sit at ends of a bay laurel kitchen table with solid top benches running along the sides.
